Should Sidney Crosby stay as the builder and the "leader" of its team instead of top goal scorer?

I don't remember Crosby ever being a good leader. He's only captain because he's the face of the franchise. I think the Pens would have done better WITHOUT his "team building". Maybe if he grows up in the next couple years he'll be a real captain.
