This is for a 1993-94 mercury villager?

does any one know how much it would be to have the electrical system fixed, new battery and possible new distributor would be? think my positive wire got grounded? came to a stop car died, tried to start no power, looked under hood and smoke coming from under the distributor to the point i thought it was catching fire then stopped, car is completely dead. I tried to turn off head lights but the alarm makes the car sound possessed. anyone have a idea? please.
