Do you think many people believe in God just because they lack belief in themselves ?

Christians look up to God for answers that no man on Earth can answer them like God can. God isn't limited. People look up to Him for support and build faith in Him and themselves. But I wouldn't see how this is a bad thing? Those who live harder lives tend to be like the ones you named above and they are usually the ones who become strong Christians out of many other characteristics. Even if I was deemed to go to Hell, I'll still praise God anyway. So, what's your point?
