How do i tell him i like him?

i met this guy at varsity although we never spoke there was a strong connection between us .4 years went by and last month i saw him.for the first timeagain he spoke to me .he told me his name and where he lives. i told him my name and when he ask where i lived iwas very rude to him . i tought it was just a strange guy trying to pick me up. i want to tell him i really like him and that i just did not recognize him but how.should igo to him i know where he lives. i really want to speak to him .i think about him every day and it hurts so much.
