How does it effect your view on Easter or Christmas, to know their origins are pagan?

So? The Resurrection happened in the spring of the year, and was called Pasch, or Paschal. Easter is an English word describing the event. Fact is, 2000 yrs ago the Resurrection happened and it doesn't have anything to do with pagan rituals celebrating spring. Christmas celebrates the incarnation, it was chosen by the Church to celebrate Christs birth. Again, nothing to do pagan rituals. These Christian feasts have been celebrated for nearly 2000 yrs, and unlike the pagans, they are here to stay.Pax Christi
